So once again I have let a little time pass in my updates.  What can I say.... I have been enjoying life.... here is what we have been up to lately.

A fun mail surprise...I had e-mailed Bob's Red Mill asking if they ever offer discounts or coupons since I buy a lot of their products like almond flour and coconut flour.  Just for asking they sent me these in the mail....awesome!

A Little Dose of Happiness ~ Special Smile Moments This Week

Finally back to my normal-ish schedule of weekly smile moments!!  A little snapshot into my life of what brings me joy!


My boys holding hands - melts my heart to see how much they really do love each other.

Shawnee Mission Theatre In The Park showing of Peter Pan.  It was free for employees of my work and their families!  Tyce loves "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" so it was fun to see him watch the actual Peter Pan story.

A Little Dose of Happiness ~ Special Smile Moments from the Beginning of Summer!

So since I had been slacking on the blog posts I had not been able to share my fun moments.....so here is a recap of some of the best memories from the beginning of summer...

My first nephew was born......such a cutie

My birthday.....I got a little cake from the boys and of course had a great time with the hubs.

Playing in the water and pool time.  I just love when it is hot enough to swim.

Trips to Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun like this one on the 4th of July.

Will hanging out with grandpa who he is named after and has crazy hair like.

And one of the best memories so far.....my hubby becoming a 70.3 Iron Man where his oldest son ran the last little stretch with him to bring him home!

A Little Dose of Happiness ~ Special Smile Moments this week!

So, I was out of town most of this past week but still found some great happy moments!!

 

 

 

Will trying to eat an ice cream cone for the first time.  He kind of just drank it out of the cone (there was not much ice cream in there b/c Tyce had most of it in a cup).

 

I got a whole row of seats to myself on the plane!!!  I love it when that happens and I can stretch out and enjoy myself.  I am definitely happier than this picture makes me look!!

My super nice hotel room for the week!!  It was like a little suite with a mini kitchen.  I guess they figure if you are going to spend a week away from home you might as well be comfortable.  Makes eating well much easier too!

 

The special quote I got in my Dove chocolate one night.  It was actually the day when I had lost my luggage and was waiting to get it back.  I said "ok Dove chocolate....I WILL enjoy this moment" and I got some of my electronic scrapbook completed (so what if it is the scrapbook from my 18 month old's first year - better late than never)

A Little Dose of Happiness ~ Special Smile Moments this Week!

First, I just want to say that this part of my blog has been great for me.  Focusing on the positive things is very relaxing and therapeutic.  Because I write this post every week I am always looking for the little things that make me happy.  At first I just thought it would be the weekly post where I could mention the fun things with my life and family, but it helps me to notice those little wonderful things constantly...I recommend it!!  So this week's focus...

 Celebrating Cinco de Mayo with the family and the whitest Mexican kid you will ever meet (my youngest son - and yes he is actually Mexican).

A local organic and whole food type market that is only 5 minutes away from our house.  We had no ide that there was a specialty store so close to us that sold all kinds of organic veggies/fruits and all of the special ingredients we use alot!!  This helps us supplement the farmers market trips.

My last class of the spring semester was this week so I am done teaching for the summer!!  I had a great group of students this semester that put in a lot of hard work so that was great!

My "Run Mom Run" 5K from Saturday.  It was a beautiful day and the run was very hilly but through a beautiful neighborhood and park combo.  My husband was actually not running for once and him and the boys were cheering me on :)

The view from my airplane.  It is so amazing to be flying through the air.  It was a good flight even though they lost both my bags of luggage (more on that to come later in the week).

A Little Dose of Happiness ~ Special Smile Moments This Week

A little funny photo shoot I had with Tyce showing all of his different emotions he can imitate now.  The words are what I asked him to act like and the pictures are what he did....so silly.

 

Will's crazy long hair blowing in the wind during one of the beautiful 80 degree days we had at the beginning of the week!

Getting to eat dinner outside on our super dirty table (the boys never care) on a very nice day.  And yes, they were eating McDonald's but I was with them alone on my second day of strep throat recovery.  I was definitely not cooking :)

The snow that was on my car the very next day.  You know, my whole life living in the Midwest I have heard that it could be 80 degrees one day and snow the next but never actually experienced it.  Well here it is, snow in May after literally an 80 degree high the day before.....wow!  But hey, it succeeded in making me laugh!

A few little snipets from my sister's baby shower.  This is her first baby and it is so much fun to see her little preggo self.  I am going to do a whole blog post on how to do the icing cake pictures soon.
