Date Night Movie Review ~ The Hangover Part III

Ok, so this was last week's date night movie during the sickness extravaganza.  Chris's pick - but I was also super excited to see it.  It was supposed to be the epic end to a so-called trilogy of awesomeness (yes that is a word in my book).

I will start off by saying that I really loved the first and second Hangover movies.  Now I will end by saying this last one was completely lame and I wish I never would have paid money to go see it.  Complete and utter fail in my book.  It wasn't really funny (like at all).  I love this kind of humor (which is strange for a girl) but I hated this movie.  I don't think I really laughed through the whole thing.  I cracked a smile here or there but not the kind of roaring laughter of the other 2 movies.

As we were leaving the theatre and I was telling my husband how disappointed I was, he tells me that he thought it was funny.  Well, I didn't hear him really laugh out loud either so I don't really believe him.

The best part of the movie for me was Melissa McCarthy, the only person who delivered any funny lines.  The little kid who is the all grown up baby was pretty cute as well.

Another Year Older (and maybe wiser?)

Well, yesterday was my birthday!  It was a great day.  The past couple of 30 something birthdays I was not fond of as far as just getting older and feeling like no one cares about you anymore (old news ya know!)  But I really enjoyed myself yesterday.  I attribute this to my more positive outlook on life and myself.

Some highlights of my birthday were:
--  A few people actually remembered it was my birthday without being prompted (new mommies can be exempt b/c I remember not having any clue what day it was...)
--  My son Tyce has thought it was my birthday for the last 3 days so I keep getting great hugs from him
--  Will and my niece Haileigh made me some awesome birthday cards at Aunt Sarah's
--  I had a fun outdoors lunch with a few close friends at work - got a little sunburned but such is life as a pasty white skin girl
--  My most favorite time with the hubby when he surpried me with tickets to the New Theatre Restaurant for dinner and a play starring Cindy Williams from "Laverne and Shirley" (my mom who was watching the kids for us may have tipped me off to the surprise just slightlty but I still didn't know what we were doing, only that we would be going out and be kidless).

It was a great day!  Thanks to everyone who made it special and here is to more years becoming older and hopefully wiser :)

I am Still Alive ~ I think!!

I promise I will start blogging again very soon!!  Sickness has run rampant in our house for the last few weeks (it literally knocked every one of us out multiple times) and a new baby has arrived (not mine - my sister's - yay!!).

So needless to say the blogging was put on the back burner in the interest of health and some family time.  I do have a movie review I need to post and some happiness updates :)
